HOW TO GET HELP

For Family Members
and Friends

You’re here to help. So are we.

Watching a family member or friend struggling with their mental health or substance use triggers a whirlwind of emotions. Whether angry, distraught, ashamed, or even helpless, your participation and encouragement is critical to their recovery.

If you suspect someone you care about may be suffering from mental health problems and addiction and is a candidate for our executives and professionals program, below are a few common signs to look for.

Common signs to look for include:

  • Confused thinking
  • Feelings of extreme highs and lows
  • Social withdrawal
  • Strong feelings of anger
  • Seeing or hearing things that aren't there (hallucinations)
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Substance use
  • Prolonged depression
  • Excessive fears, worries and anxieties
  • Dramatic changes in eating or sleeping habits
  • Strange thoughts (delusions)
  • Growing inability to cope with daily problems and activities
  • Numerous unexplained physical ailments

We’re here to help.
